Kid was unjustly taken at an early age by that dreaded disorder 'Bloat' that affects so many of our medium to large breed dogs today. It hits suddenly, out of nowhere, brought on by stress, gulping of food or water, vigorous exercise at the wrong time, and of course genetics. Breeders are not always to blame for this disorder however.

I loved this guy, and so did a lot of other people. He was a beautiful bi-color, with a sweet temperament and  he was a very  nice mover. There is no doubt he would have finished his Show career. Shown sparingly, he was always in the Blue Ribbons, with several Reserve wins at specialty shows.

I still envision him playing in his baby pool, and on hot days even falling asleep in it. Also, the way he would jump straight up in the air, all four's off the ground, pouncing straight down on his toys. He was so cute and silly and I loved him for it!

Kid was bred by Pam Roose and Mary Ann Carew of Falcon Hill Shepherds. Thank you Pam for letting me have this special guy! The first time I laid eyes on him as an 8 week old kid I just had to have him! He may not have been with us long, but the memories of him will last forever. He is a star in my heart, he is now the 'Keeper of the Stars'.

It is better to have been Loved, than not Loved at all.

When all our tears have reached the sea
Part of you will live in me
Way down deep inside my heart
The days keep coming without fail
A new wind is gonna find your sail
That’s where your journey starts

You’ll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me
